Milan (VedoGreen) – Italian companies beat US companies in their commitment to environmental and social sustainability: if in Italy we are witnessing more and more compulsory and voluntary participation in the presentation of the non-financial declaration (Dnf), in the USA the boards of directors are less sensitive to the subject. This is what emerges from the 2018 BDO Board Survey, conducted annually by BDO, the international audit network and consulting companies.
According to the research, managed between July and August 2018 to 140 directors-general of boards of directors of listed US companies, 74% of business leaders do not recognize the importance of sustainability information for understanding the business of a company and in support of investors to make informed investments and take appropriate decisions of vote.
